Our very own Russ Stenson has won the FSB Employee of the Year award for the Hertfordshire region.

Following his nomination last week as a finalist at the event, the ITbuilder team joined Russ at the swish awards dinner held last night at the Tewinbury Farm Hotel near Welwyn Garden City. We were all ecstatic when Russ was named the winner and cheered loudly as he stepped up onto the stage, joined by James Naylor, to collect his trophy.

Russ thoroughly deserved the award for his amazing career transformation from supermarket bakery supervisor to IT support lynchpin here at ITbuilder. On judging the contest, Russ' nomination received comments such as, "What a brave and courageous chap" and "He sounds like the ideal employee."

In typical Russ fashion, he is resisting the temptation of languishing in the glory and was at his desk this morning at 8am marshalling the support issues whilst also fielding calls from the local press.

Unfortunately, Russ' fiancee Lisa could not be at the awards to see Russ collect his prize as she is due to have their second child any day now. Its going to be quite a week in the Stenson household!
